Moderation Reports

The Center for Language in Learning has provided reports on the moderation readings for the Learning Record, including findings on grade level performance and achievement and consistency and reliability of teacher judgment and the assessment process. The earliest reports are posted here. Later reports were posted at the Center for Language in Learning's web site. Unfortunately, the Center for Language in Learning is no longer in existence, a casualty of the mania for standardized testing. However, these reports are maintained here for their historical value. At one time, we knew how to provide valid, reliable, and authentic assessment of learning over time, to recognize the expertise of teachers, and to provide opportunities for genuine professional development in communities of enlightened learners, teachers, researchers, and administrators.
